Galvanized Gabion Mattress 2x1x1m with 60x80mm Mesh for Erosion Control

Gabions and mattresses are rectangular baskets made of heavily galvanized, double twisted, hexagonal woven steel wire mesh. The single unit baskets are assembled, laced together, then filled with stone to form a monolithic structure. The compartments or cells are filled with natural stone and the diaphragms minimize stone migration within the basket, providing even distribution of the stone throughout the basket even after structural movement. PVC coating is also available to extend the lifespan of structures used in water or corrosive environments.

Our standard PVC coated, galvanized gabion baskets are constructed of 3-mm or 4-mm steel wire - either woven or welded, depending on strength required. We also offer Mini Gabions in standard 2 m, 3 m, and 4 m lengths, measuring 0.5 m high by 0.5 m deep.
