Gabions are box-like units, generally of length either 2m or 4m with a height of either 0.5m or 1m. Rock Mattress product is generally of larger plan area, typically 6m x 2m, but are much thinner in depth with typical dimensions ranging between 0.17m and 0.5m.

All units are supplied folded flat to site. The customer must fabricate the supplied unit to size, join one unit to another to form the required structure, and fill with suitable stone. The material is heavy zinc coated wire - we promise the best quality and service.

Note: All sizes and dimensions are nominal. Tolerances of ±3% of width/length and ±2.5cm of height are permitted.

1. Open the bundle and unfold each unit
2. Lift the sides, ends and diaphragms into vertical position
3. Attach sides at four corners together with locking wire fastener or lacing wire
4. Attach diaphragms to front and back of gabion

Surface treatment: Woven steel wire is heavy zinc coated or PVC coated.
