Galfan Gabion Baskets 3.0-6.0mm Wire Anti-Corrosive Flood Barrier

The defensive barrier is gabion-like, featuring a welded wire mesh frame exterior with a non-woven geotextile liner interior. Sand, soil, gravel, and blinding are commonly used as filling materials due to the geotextile liner.

Gabion bastions are primarily used in military and flood control applications due to their modular structure and rapid deployment capability. For military use, a 24-inch thick gabion can stop rifle bullets, shell fragments, and other shrapnel. For flood protection, gabions can be quickly assembled and put into service.
