River control gabion box for erosion control and slope stabilization
Description:
River Gabion box is a special design for river flood control, which is made by high tensile galvanized wire or PVC coated galvanized wire, Because of low cost and easy installation, it is going to be more and more popular in flood control project. The size of river gabion box could be adjust as the river’s condition.
River gabion box is consisting of three part:
1. Selvedgewire, which is the edge wire hexagonalmesh, two hexagonal mesh panel connect together by selvedge wire and lacing wire, which request the selvedge wire more strong.
2. Mesh wire, this is the main part of river gabion box, to hold stone inside, the popular diameter is 2.7mm, 3.0mm and 3.5mm.
3.Lacing wire, which is tie the mesh panel together, it is around 0.5mm thinner than mesh wire.
The installation is also a big advantage of river gabion box, which do not need special tools and all the workers can do it. Just need put stone inside, and tie the opening of gabion, it will be ready. As the rocks is very cheap and easy to get, so the cost is very low, compared with concrete wall, and installation could be much faster than concrete wall.
