Structural Design and Performance

Each mesh panel is mechanically woven with a double twist, meaning every wire pair is twisted three half turns around the next pair. This interlock makes the weave fail-safe: a single broken wire cannot open the mesh, which is why double twisted baskets keep their integrity under rockfall impact, water flow and long term soil pressure.

Because the basket remains flexible after filling, it works as a dynamic earth reinforcement membrane. Drainage passes freely through the openings, hydrostatic pressure stays low behind the wall face, and the structure simply follows minor ground settling without cracking - a decisive advantage over rigid concrete or welded alternatives on unstable slopes.
